Problem Set Information

Information entered in this component of the IMMEX packaging tool allows authors to provide information on:

  1. The description of a problem set that appears in "staged classes" that learners see when they log on to begin problem solving; and
  2. Overall scoring system, including initial score, type of measure for score (points, hours, etc.), maximum attempts possible to submit a solution; cost of incorrect attempts; and scoring options.
Inputting Problem Set Information

1. To get started, click on the icon for IMMEX packaging tool on your desktop or click on packaging.exe in folder in Explore.
2. Complete information on problem set in the dialog box. (May copy and paste from problem set template created in Excel.

•Type or copy/paste most items.
•Browse to select files such as problem set initial base and icon, etc.
•Scroll to select scoring option and solution type. Click open in secondary dialog box.

3. Save file. (The name of the problem set suffices.) Save frequently for you will not be prompted to save.
4. Click next at the bottom of dialog box to proceed.

*Remember to save! Saving at the end of each screen is good practice since there are no prompts to save.
