When authoring IMMEX problem sets, the first case created serves as the master case for all clones/cases in a problem set. To make clones, the “master case” is duplicated and the copy is placed in a separate folder that is named accordingly to reflect the “new” case. Planning ahead, construct a file organization structure that will accommodate at least 10 clones/cases. Anticipating a multi-case problem set, your file organizational structure should consist of a primary folder with sub folders for at least 10 clones plus a sub folder for problem set graphics exclusively and a folder for auxiliary problem set items such as problem set profile, case links file, complementary instructional unit, etc. To begin, create a folder entitled the name of your IMMEX problem set on your C-drive. Next create a sub folder for each case, a separate folder for graphics/images, and a folder for all support files. For simplicity, you may use the name or part of the name of your problem set and a number that reflects the order in which cases/clones were made. For example, sub folders for the True Roots problem set are entitled Roots1, Roots2, Roots3, Roots4, Roots5,etc. The sub folder for that archives graphics is entitled images and the sub folder for miscellaneous files is called support files. |
