IMMEX Case Links File

Formatted in Microsoft Excel, a case links file is designed to facilitate file management, construction of clones, technical assembly of a problem set, division of labor, and content accuracy checks by the authoring team, content experts, and colleagues. When the “content development” team and the “technical development” team are different, this document can be passed on to the technical development team for conversion to HTML for online delivery. Therefore, a case links file, should include:

1. Actual titles for primary and secondary menu items;
2. Proposed file naming system indicating the file name for each html page which is equivalent to all “traceable” menu items, including the prolog and epilog;
3. Scoring system, showing points for each “traceable” menu item, including points for solution attempts;
4. Clone differentiation, by providing brief descriptions of intended content for each menu item for all clones indicating similarities and differences;
5. HTML hyperlinks for each menu item in a clone with ideas for content, graphics, and formatting to be used in the completed problem set. Use the proposed file name for each HTML hyperlink. NOTE: HTML pages are initial drafts of web pages for your actual problem set. Before you create files, establish a file management system.
6. Solution for each clone.

***A template will be provided to facilitate the process of tailoring one to your problem set.
