Problem Set Layout and Frames |
IMMEX problem sets may have a variety of layouts that accommodate four key components of a problem space in a consistent location of the active screen, regardless of which item is being viewed: (1) primary menu items; (2) secondary menu items; (3) the prolog, epilog, and problem set content hyperlinked to menu items; and (4) a collection of IMMEX specific tools that provide real-time access while problem solving to the IMMEX home page, login tool, logout tool, enrolled classes, IMMEX problem sets, the prolog, score, and the solve tool where learners submit a solution upon completion of problem solving. To support these four key component groups of an IMMEX problem set, a four-frame layout for the index page is used most frequently. However, as you have already encountered, IMMEX problem sets are also structured in a variety of other layouts. In order to create a structure that enables the placement of the key components of an IMMEX problem set in the same location throughout a problem space, frames and frame sets are used when constructing the index page. This segment on Problem Set Layout and Frames will provide you with examples of layouts for IMMEX problem sets for consideration and stepwise procedure on how to create frames and frame sets for the index page, enabling a consistent arrangement of your problem space. |
