Search Path Maps: Download UPGRADE
IMMEX on the Web now allows teachers to easily customize their students’
Search Path Maps with several new options.
When the "Download Search Path Maps" button is selected from within Teachers’
AID, the Search Path Options box will appear:
The first set of options allows a teacher to:
-
Show only the menu items
"selected" (in color and in the traditional IMMEX format) and with the
sequential lines...
-
Show the items selected in
color with their lines and all of the not chosen as "grayed" boxes, or...

-
Show all of the menu items in
color with those that were chosen by the student indicated only by the lines.
The second set of options
allows teachers to:
-
Have the order in which the
items were selected printed in parenthesis next to the item name ("Steps")...
For example, [(9) Admissions
Clerk] would be written to the box labeled "Admissions Clerk," showing that
it was the 9th step.
-
Name of the menu item only
("No Steps" - traditional IMMEX format), or "Steps only"
For example, [9]
would be written, omitting the "Admissions Clerk" label
The third option provides
teachers with a colored template of the entire problem-case menu structure.
Because some of the IMMEX problem-sets have clones with varying menu
structures, printing out corresponding templates can be very useful.
Note: the template will appear on the first page of the Adobe file created and
that the Search Path Map(s) appear on the subsequent page(s).
The final option contains a "Scale to fit the paper" button for those 100+
menu item problem-cases that have hither to required more than one piece of
paper to print.
For information on how to download Search Path Maps and/or Adobe Acrobat,
visit "Getting Started" on the IMMEX home page and select the "Search Path
Maps" link.
